Recuerdo de Cerdaña “La Ceretana” (Polka)
Brief polka in G major published in 1882 and dedicated to the board of directors of La Ceretana, a stagecoach company founded the same year. The piece imitates the march of the stagecoach, as Déodat de Séverac will do in 1910 in “En Tartane” (Suite for piano Cerdaña). With the typical structure of this dance, Introduction-A-B-A-C-Coda, the fast tempo in 2/4 is ideal for Ronsó to achieve this effect. Reference is made to this work in La voz del Pirineo of August 6, 1882 (La voz del Pirineo 1882, 2).
